In the last 3 years Green Day guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong
started off being at first not so sure about his band, then then a little album
called Dookie came out the band was happy and playing for
about 20,000 people a gig but then Bj got married to his long
time girlfriend Adrienne and had a kid and now he is exasted.
Bj was born in Rodeo (pronounced ROwdayO),California
which is a suburb of Berkeley. He was the youngest of six
children, his mother was a waitress and his dad, who died
when he was ten, was a jazz drummer and a truck driver. In
about a year after his fathers death bj took up guitar. Bj got his
guitar from a gut who used to be in a band called beatnic beage
and his mom bought it for him. Bj and Mike formed Sweet
Children in '87 they had both played guitar at the time but later
on Mike took up bass. Bj & Mike as sweet children played
everywhere from clubs to hospitals to even bathrooms. They
later named themselves Green Day and Bj dropped out of high
school in his senior year and they recorded the 1,000 hours EP
on Lookout! Records. After cutting that ep, they went on to release 2 albums
off of the Lookout! label. 1,039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours, and Kerplunk.
Both titles are great records and you should buy them =0). After Kerplunk! was
released they soon signed to the major label REPRISE and the rest is just dookie...
